The KNH CenterDatabase reflects one aspect of the work being done by the KNH Center
for Biomedical Egyptology at the University of Manchester. The Center studies living
conditions, health and disease in ancient Egypt. An international Egyptian mummy
tissue bank was established at the KNH Center in 1996. The database, accessible through
this website, reflects materials stored in the tissue bank and can be used by researchers
studying all aspects of health and disease in ancient Egypt. Menu driven selections
make searching and reporting easy for Egyptologists and others around the world.
